His build tells a gentler truth: a Build-A-Bear panda whose shaggy black-and-white coat has been ruffled into permanent tousle, softest along the cream chest where a chin once rested. His four caramel paw pads have paled to biscuit from steady handling, and his stitched black nose sits full and unworn between two bold eye patches. The back-seam label still reads clearly. Washed and combed through by hand, joints firm, he sits with one arm lifted like he's about to wave someone over.
