Zephyr Canyon 's story
Zephyr Canyon insists he was never meant for a toy box — he was posted, paw-first, to guard the top of the stairs, and he takes the job seriously still. His amber eyes hold that same unblinking vigilance, round and steady under brown-shaded brows, and his nose sits pink and alert above a solemn stitched mouth. The fur along his spine lies pressed flat in one long stripe, proof of some sunbeam he claimed as his post and refused to abandon for weeks at a time. His chest stayed snow-white through it all, his black-tipped tail never once lost its point. He is ready now to guard somebody new.
