Comfrey's story
Comfrey insists he trained as a ward-nurse for a menagerie of smaller stuffed patients, dispensing quiet reassurance and the occasional felt bandage. The evidence is right there on his brow: a little white plaster taped in a firm X, and stitched onto one broad sole a square badge reading Get Well Soon beside a tiny red thermometer. He's a big, dense fellow — weighted paws and bottom let him sit square and reassuring, the way a good bedside companion should. His tousled honey-brown coat shows warmer streaks where hands settled, his muzzle a rounded caramel, his nose full and glossy. His FTD/Boss Berrie tag reads clear. Bathed and combed through by hand, seams firm.
