Cranberry Fife's story

Four small red flags gave him away: a satin nose, a satin sole tucked into each foot, and the bow at his throat, all cut from the same bright bolt. Caltoy built him for giving — MADE TO LOVE, MADE TO LAST still legible on the label under his arm — and someone took the first half of that seriously. His curly honey plush has gone darker at the crown and along the ear edges where hands settled most, and the tails of his bow are creased from being retied more than once. Machine-washed, curls teased apart with fingers, threads resecured, bow pressed flat again. A beautiful Valentine bear.
