Fezzy's story
Fezzy came to us already mid-shift, red badge on his sleeve reading Fezzy's Rescue Squad — a bear who rescues, now taking a well-earned turn at being rescued himself. He wears a hospital gown of tiny scattered flowers, tied at the back with a sunny yellow bow, and he wears it without a hint of complaint. Beneath it his shaggy raspberry-brown fur is deep and tousled, his soft nose broad, his black eyes calm as a night nurse's. He has been gently machine washed and given a clean bill of health. Now he'd like a home where his bedside manner will be appreciated nightly.
