Fondant

That black-cat Jellycat London tag pins her to the last decade or so, though she's plainly logged plenty of lap-hours since.

Fondant's story

Fondant would have you believe she was hand-mixed in a confectioner's back room, whipped from strawberry cream until she turned this exact sugared-pink shade. The truth is written in her fur: a Jellycat bunny gone soft and pettable, her crown and one ear touched with a faint mauve where light lingered a little too long. Her long lop ears fall past her paws, one flopping forward as if listening for the kettle. Her cream tail sits plump and unmatted, her black bead eyes clear and centered. Freshly washed and combed by hand, seams sound throughout, she settles her weight against a shoulder like she means to stay.
