Frosty 's story
Frosty will tell you, with great dignity, that he once understudied for a snowman in a shop-window winter scene — the sort with cotton drifts and a tin of paper stars — and simply never took the costume off. He's a small Russ fellow zipped snugly into a plush white snowman suit, its hood a rounded head with a black stitched eye, a felt carrot beak, and a wee black top hat trimmed in scarlet ribbon. His own honey-brown face peeks out through the opening, muzzle soft, nose a neat black bean, eyes bright as boot-buttons. The suit is clean and thick, the ribbon crisp. Gently machine washed and brushed through by hand, seams sound.
