Thistlewick's story
Thistlewick is a small bear with a big sense of occasion — only about 7 inches tall when seated, but dressed for it in a burgundy velvet bow tie that hasn't lost its shape or its color. His fur has been gently machine washed and dries in a soft, even nap, with none of the matting a fussed-over neck ribbon usually leaves behind. His paw pads are neatly embroidered, four dark claws stitched into each one, and his eyes still catch a glint of light dead center. The "Playful Pals" tag stitched low on his back seam is intact and legible, a little label that outlasted whatever box or drawer he spent his years in. He looks built for a pocket or a handbag corner, ready to be produced at exactly the right moment.
