Marmalade

Marmalade's story

Marmalade arrived dressed for travel, as bears of his lineage always are: red felt hat tipped just so, blue duffle coat with all three toggles still fastened, and something orange tucked under one paw that we suspect is a sandwich for emergencies. His curly brown fur is soft and full, barely mussed — we think he waited patiently on a shelf more than he roamed. His kind stitched smile and bright eyes suggest a bear raised on good manners and better preserves. He has been checked over by hand, fluffed, and pronounced ready for his second chapter. He is looking for someone with a windowsill, a story at bedtime, and room for one more.
