Marzipan Posy's story
Marzipan Posy swears her hood was once a snowdrop, plucked whole and stitched into a bonnet by someone with very particular ideas about dressing for weather. It's a tall tale, but the hood itself is proof of someone's devotion: a separate white teddy bear shell with its own pink-lined brim, pulled snug enough that only her round white face peeps out, framed by two floppy rose-pink ears sewn on beneath it. A heart sits embroidered between painted brown eyes, and a striped grosgrain bow is fixed at her throat like a finishing flourish. Her paw pads carry neat fan-stitched claws, more decorative than fierce. She has sat hooded and watchful for a long while, patient for the sort of someone who dresses their bears up properly, too.
