Nimbus's story
Nimbus swears he once held a post as village weather-bear, the sort trusted to call a coming drizzle by how much his fur puffed up beforehand. Believe him or don't, but the evidence is convincing: his honey-brown coat is genuinely tousled and wind-caught, thick as heather after a gust off the moor, and the tartan ribbon knotted at his throat has the crisp, cared-for look of a bear dressed up for market days. His nose is stitched neat and unfrayed, his eyes glint dark and attentive, and his paws show only the soft, even wear of someone who was carried, not dragged. Retired now from forecasting, he's ready for calmer skies — and a person willing to keep him company through them.
