Peppermint Ledger's story
Peppermint Ledger swears he once managed the wrapping counter at a grand toy emporium, counting out ribbon by the yard and testing every bow against his own striped scarf for balance. His paw makes the case: one sole reads F·A·O SCHWARZ in dark thread, still legible under the frizz. His coat is a curly champagne shag, gone flat and paler at the ears and belly where hands rested most. His eyes sit bright; the stitched nose has softened to a comfortable brown. His hand-knit candy-cane scarf, fringed at both ends, ties the whole look together. Washed and combed by hand, seams firm.
