Ashen's story
Ashen is a long-eared rabbit in dove and smoke-grey plush, his upright ears lined with pale gray and his belly a warm unbleached cream. Someone tied an organza ribbon at his throat, sheer and silver, and it has held its knot through years of gentle handling. His foot pads and inner ears wear that same soft blue, and the fur across his cheeks has settled into a downy nap from being cupped. The Kellytoy tag at his seam, Los Angeles-made, is still crisp and readable. A hand wash and a careful comb-out have brought the shine back to his coat. He sits ready to hop off the shelf and into your arms.
