Prismwick's story

Prismwick spent his early years standing in for a lesson, not for a hug — the bear a kindergarten teacher propped on her desk each autumn when the unit on colors came around, pointed to again and again as 'the rainbow one.' You can tell: every stripe is still crisp, pink blending into orange into yellow into green into blue into violet with none of the smudging that comes from constant squeezing. His nose and ear-tips stayed that same bright bubblegum pink through it all. He's ready to be held now, whether that's hugged tightly in a reading corner, or brought along in a backpack for show and tell. Gently machine washed and brushed out by hand.
