Smudge's story
Smudge arrived already curled into his sleeping shape, nose tucked low, both paws drawn in close, as if someone had set him down mid-nap and he simply decided to stay that way. His black patches sit like soft charcoal thumbprints around each eye, crisp against fur so clean it still has that fresh-brushed fluff to it. Nothing here needed mending — no thin patches, no loose seams — just a small, round bear who's spent his days so far being gently set on shelves rather than dragged through them. He's compact enough for a single cupped hand and patient enough to wait for the right one. Looking now for somewhere low and soft to keep curling up.
