Tarragon Vale carries himself like a bear who once headed the welcome committee at a country tailor's, greeting each customer while the pins and the pressing steam did their work — hence, he'd say, his fondness for a well-tied ribbon at the collar. His plush is a dense heathered taupe, warm and cloud-soft, deepening to cocoa at the muzzle, undersoles, and the pads of his generous feet. A tartan ribbon in navy, green, and crimson loops smartly at his throat. His Gund tag still reads its washing instructions in tidy red script. Washed and brushed through by hand, seams sound, his fur springing back full and plump.
