Varsity's story
Varsity never made it off the shelf. He arrived with his original tags still tucked behind one ear and his red-and-white letterman jacket snapped up neat — 1862 patch on the chest, a proud bear crest across the back. His caramel fur is thick and unworn, his black eyes bright, one paw pad embroidered with the mark of the famous toy shop he came from. He waited, dressed for the big game, for a story that never quite started. He's ready now: a bear in nearly new condition, looking for someone with room for a teammate and a second chapter that begins on time.
