Whitsun's story
The ears decide everything about her. They fall nearly to her paws, lined in pale pink satin that has gone soft and slightly crinkled at the folds — the mark of being carried by them, the way small hands always do. Her plush is cream gone faintly ivory along the spine, pressed into a gentle lean where she leaned back against something for a long time. Pink satin ovals sit in each foot, a stitched pink nose between close-set eyes. Her Russ Berrie label still reads Hopscotch in bright pink thread. Gently washed, ears brushed straight and dried slowly, every seam checked and sound.
